All articles published in Studia Geotechnica et Mechanica (ISSN 2083-831X) are published open access.
For manuscripts submitted on or after February 1, 2025, an Article Processing Charge (APC) of EUR 450 is payable for each manuscript accepted for publication following peer review. Applicable VAT or other taxes may be added where required by law.
For authors affiliated with Polish institutions who wish to pay in Polish zloty, the APC is PLN 1900 + 23% VAT.
The standard APC is the same for all article types. Different publication charges may apply to articles published in special issues. Where applicable, the charge and payment conditions are specified separately for the respective special issue.
The APC contributes to the costs of the publication process, including copyediting, typesetting, long-term archiving, and journal management.
Waivers and discounts
The journal does not offer waivers or discounts on the Article Processing Charge.
Authors are not charged for manuscript submission or peer review. The APC is payable only after a manuscript has been accepted for publication and has no influence on the editorial decision or peer-review process.
Following acceptance, an invoice will be sent by email to the payment contact designated by the authors. Only official invoices issued by Wrocław University of Science and Technology are valid. Payment must be made after acceptance and before publication.
